Role Overview:
We're seeking a dynamic Chapter Lead for our global Data & Analytics department. In this role, you will lead, mentor, and nurture a team of skilled data scientists and data solution experts. You will shape and execute the AI strategy, collaborate with Data Product Leads, Chapter Lead DevOps & Data Engineering, and engage with business stakeholders to chart the AI roadmap. Your responsibilities include enhancing your team's technical competencies, fostering a collaborative atmosphere, setting benchmarks for solution development, streamlining processes, and ensuring solution quality. Leverage machine learning for innovation and play a leading role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our MLOps processes to support the entire AI product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functionally lead and mentor a diverse team of data scientists, data architects, and report developers.
- Develop, align, and execute the AI Strategy and implementation plan.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions.
- Define and implement the MLOps strategy, best practices, and standards.
- Architect and maintain an efficient MLOps framework.
- Identify, assess, and integrate MLOps tools, frameworks, and platforms.
- Foster innovation within the chapter by staying updated with emerging trends and best practices.
- Mentor and nurture team members, offering guidance on technical skills and career progression.
- Collaborate with other chapter leads to facilitate knowledge exchange and cross-functional cooperation.
- Engage with stakeholders to report progress and demonstrate the value of data-driven initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of leading data science and analytics teams, preferably in the energy or related sector.
- Possess over 10 years of hands-on development experience and expertise in data analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI.
- Exhibit proficiency in programming languages like Python or R and experience with data manipulation and visualization libraries. Familiarity with Azure is advantageous.
- Have a solid grasp of data engineering concepts, data architecture, and cloud-based database management systems.
- Showcase excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Be a strategic thinker capable of translating business challenges into actionable data solutions.
- Demonstrate experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of energy distribution systems and industry-specific challenges is a plus.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to data ethics, privacy, and security.
